Disconnect FCTR probe after finished?

Roland-44
Last evening I read somewhat older artikel in this Elecraft Net.

Is it true that it is better to disconnect your FCTR probe after filter aligments are done?
My probe is still connected to TP2, this way I can always check/realign filter settings.
But the possibility is that you can get some spurs?? If so, what could happen?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Leaving the probe in place increases the amount of BFO 3rd harmonic in
the output on 14 MHz.  There may also be other spurs.  I checked this
and did notice that the spur became louder when the probe was plugged
in.  I don't know if the level is high enough to be a problem; most
likely not with a QRP K2.  But if you have a KPA100 or even a KPA100 and
an external amplifier, it's probably a good idea to leave the probe
disconnected.

Early in K2 history, a number of builders found spurs that would go away if
the probe was unplugged and stowed.
