Hi David, your sense of urgency is understandable and
I remember when I had an issue with building my K2's. Anything that stopped the flow of the build made the earth seem like it had slowed to a stop. Additional "noise" in the manner of K3 posts whether they are cute or not have to add to the frustration. But I found that replies to my posts (a couple years ago) were often not answered on the list for a day or two, and sometimes not at all. So I'd usually post questions to the list when Elecraft was not going to be open for a couple days (long weekend etc.) and if I got a reply it was a bonus. But during normal hours (and sometimes late) there was always help for me at Elecraft via a direct email to one of their heavy hitters. So keep that in mind that even without the K3 clutter (some of which is mine), sometimes it's a hard wait. That's usually the time I started brainstorming about the issue for myself in the interim. There were some good thoughts that came of this. ;-) Waiting waiting - always the issue! ;-) 73, Don [Elecraft] Does Life Exist Beyond the K3? dking at vcn.com dking at vcn.com Fri Sep 14 18:09:55 EDT 2007 Previous message: [Elecraft] Elecraft news story Next message: [Elecraft] Does Life Exist Beyond the K3? Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I have sorted through the multiplicity of K3 related postings in recent weeks (I was away from my computer one day and when I came back there were 157 new K3 postings in one 24 hour period)...I am beginning to wonder if there is life beyond the K3? Is there a "real" Elecraft list somewhere where one can go to for project advice and help? That is, I have heard more than I ever wanted to know about bagpipes, vapors rising off what a dog left behind, shipping dates, shipping methods, credit cards, advice on how to run a company, operating manuals vs. assembly manuals, giving up your place in line for someone that will appreciate the value of what the K3 will be, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc..... And that's just today. However, some of us are still building other Elecraft products and have posted build/alignment questions and more than one of us has had to repost because of no responses on the list to the questions raised. But, we can have 15 cutsey comments posted by everyone and their dog about dog vapors, bagpipes, etc. I must say, I did get one off-list response to my K2 question today and Andrew was helpful with one of the questions I posed...but didn't have anything to suggestions for the rest of the problem.... I had today off and was hoping to do the final alignments...but am stalled by the questions I have....and it's now been a totally wasted day. But, by golly, I know about vapors and bagpipes and shipping dates!!! Just wondering...
