Dumb Question

I have the  sub receive and attached to it the general coverage receiver.  I cannot figure out how to band change and mode change on the sub receive and tune the general coverage receiver to for instance 1070 AM the local news radio.  I listen now online but its clogged with adds.  I have looked in the operation manual but I must be missing something.  Thank for any help.
