Good thinking.
The Collins Collectors Assn. net has been on 14.263 @ 2000Z for many years.
Sticking with UTC is the only option that makes sense unless a net is strictly local as on 2M FM for example.

Subject: [Elecraft] ECN time change in effect
A little errata: Daylight Savings Time once again caught me unaware.
Since the bands have been favorable to us the last few weeks I think we should not really change.
The local times will change while UTC will remain the same like last year. If the sun ever awakens we'll reassess the net times.
Please join us on (or near):
14050 kHz at 2200z Sunday (3 PM PDT Sunday)
7047 kHz at 0000z Monday (5 PM PDT Sunday)

Kevin. KD5ONS
