Google "Project Argus Tests 1958" When the first one went off there wasn't
any HF Com for quite a while.  The Bands went dead like a switch being
thrown.  Yes we Hams noticed.

Don't you guys think that if these EMP events happen one will have other
bigger issues to worry about than what happened to a ham radio?  It
might not matter at all because you and perhaps the entire city you live
in may be dead.
