EQP & firmware sneak preview

I had a lot more contacts in EQP this year. Pent-up demand due to not
having one in 2008, maybe?

Thanks to all who participated! I heard lots of strong stations working
hard to dig out the little guys (and even giving "real" reports -- hi).

I also had a chance to try out the latest K3 firmware under contest
conditions. It's a major revision, including:

   - Sub receiver band independent of main

   - Multiple ATU LC setups stored on each band,
eliminating the need to re-tune when you QSY

   - ATU mode (auto/bypass) stored separately per-band/per-antenna

   - New AGC settings for use in multi-signal situations

   - A method for removing fast-tuning receive spurs

   - Extended frequency coverage on transverter bands with a 10-m I.F.

   - Improved SSB and DATA power control

Etc.

We hope to make this revision available for beta test soon.

Wayne
N6KR

Now we're talking.
A bunch of "I really want this" in there.
Very many thanks, Wayne.
