Operating time was strictly limited here due to thunderstorms and rumors of thunderstorms (and worse). Managed 9 QSO's with fellow Elecrafters on 40m CW with the KX1. I tried 80m with the new KXB3080 module-- didn't work any Elecrafters, but did work two stations each in the WI and OK QSO parties through heavy QRN.
By the way the KX1 receive is really hot on 80m. I routinely copy DX stations equally well on the KX1 as on my trusty Omni 6.
