while going through the menu adjusting the AGC & setting the AF gain to low seemed to help with the back ground noise. happy with that I went and did the Tnx Gain calibration and got the ERR TXF..
seems that when I went through the menu screen past FL1 BW my fat fingers bump the VFO B knob and changed the setting from 2.80 to 2.60. and that shut it down.
Now would there be anyway to have it set up to lock the setting that are set in the menu, as tuning through them and not accidently bumping them...like pushing the LOCK button to unlock the item to make a change and when you move on to another item have it go into a lock mode..
