This Sunday at our net time the CQWW SSB contest will be hot and heavy.
Does it make sense to have our net anyway and fight the QRM.  Or should we
cancel our net this week?  I'd like your feedback on this.  Thanks.

Hi gang,

Well, I got a mix of answers that ranged from cancel the net to keep the net
and try to work through the QRM.  The most novel answers were switch to 17
meters this week.  I might try that, but I don't have a decent 17 meter
antenna right now.  The 17 meter stations I do work are usually by loading
my coax fed tri-band (10/15/20) quad with its very high SWR on 17 meters.
The K3 ATU will load it, but it isn't very efficient.  To make matters
worse, my current linear amp won't work on 17 meters.

Therefore, the SSB net is cancelled for tomorrow (October 25).  The net
should be back on next week.  Have a great weekend and CQWW (if you
participate).

The weekly Elecraft SSB net will meet Sunday, 11/1/09 at 1800Z on 14.314
MHz.  Note that this is the same Universal Time, but it will be an hour
earlier in your local time.  I will not be able to be there, but Mark, K4SO,
in Virginia will be the net control station.  Hopefully, propagation will be
good.
