Good Evening,
Twenty meters has been good for me all week but 40 meters has not been
as nice. During the fox hunt I located both foxes by where the few hounds
I heard lead me. I did hear CQ ... FOX K once but then he was gone for
the rest of the evening. It did not help that I got a business call in
the middle of the hunt but those are the breaks. I need a better admin to
filter my calls ;)
The weather has been Oregon normal though we did have a few sunny hours
now and then. The rest of the time was chilly and wet. Last night we had
heavy rain and then some very large snow flakes. Too bad none of it stuck
since the temperature went back up again. Looked very nice while it
lasted. We don't normally get a snow fall that stays until late December
or in January. Then we can get four feet of snow which makes shoveling a
chore since it is so heavy. Luckily the trees holding my two G5RVs are
pretty sturdy and the antennas themselves shed snow very well. I have yet
to get icing conditions though. That would bring them both down in a
hurry.
