Good Evening,
Weather was quite pleasant today. Dry enough for a crosscountry walk and sunny enough to see well underneath the canopy. As I was hiking I kicked up a few deer and few grouse. Grouse always startle me even when they are not underfoot when they flush. Lots of sign of elk and deer underneath the fir trees. I would be walking along looking up to avoid branches when my feet would tell me there was another game trail underfoot. A couple of them were four feet wide! I wonder if the bear go through there too? Propagation has been good on the higher bands. Forty can be very noisy but twenty meters has been very nice. If the weather were not so nice I would get on the air during the daytime to test above twenty meters. But with such non-typical sunshine I am out developing paths around the property. Maybe I can help those pesky elk find a better way from watering hole to breakfast to their sleeping areas. Please join us tomorrow afternoon and evening. 1) Hail signs (first letter or two of the suffix of your call) 2) NCS help (as well as QSP/QNP <relay> help) Sunday 2300z (Sunday 3 PM PST) 14050 kHz Monday 0100z (Sunday 5 PM PST) 7045 kHz Stay well, Kevin.
