Good Evening,
It is spider season. Just after the first taste of the rainy
season and just before the mushrooms appear in mats. Yes, spider
season, when you can't walk more than about ten feet without getting a
face full of web. Every time I forget to walk with my arms in front of
me I get coated. They are not very big this year. Maybe they are
cyclical like the grouse. The ruffed grouse is at a peak population
level right now. Luckily when they flush nearby they clear out some of
those spider webs.
The sun is hinting at a new sunspot and there are some aurora. The
sun is rapidly moving southward changing propagation in its own way. I
think the thunderstorms from the latest hurricane will be off the coast
of North Carolina by the time the nets start tomorrow. But who knows
what that may have dragged into the middle of the country? Nevertheless
I'll work around conditions as best I can.
Please join us tomorrow on:
14050 kHz at 2200z Sunday (3 PM PDT Sunday)
7047 kHz at 0000z Monday (5 PM PDT Sunday)
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS
