Good Evening,
I have been reading forecasts of frigid cold in middle America.
Being a native of Wisconsin frigid means at least 25 below zero with
wind chill subtracted from there. I don't think the news people really
mean that though. The predictions have been drifting upward with a
temperature of 15 degrees (above zero) with light wind. They must have
been raised in Florida :)
The sun has been actively sending ions even without any sunspots.
Sometime around midweek there will be a stream of solar wind. Too bad
those can't hit on Friday morning so the weekend will have a refreshed
ionosphere. However, I don't schedule these things.
On Wednesday I stopped banging on the keyboard and looked up. The
sky was dark. I thought I had lost most of the day working when I
noticed it was only 1 PM. The cloud layer was so thick I thought it the
sun was about to set. When I looked at a satellite photo I found out
why. I was under a large stream of water flowing from well out in the
Pacific directed at the mouth of the Columbia River. Needless to say it
has been a very wet week.
Please join us tomorrow on:

7047 kHz at 0000z Monday (4 PM PST Sunday)
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS
