Good Evening,
The Elecraft Net was run this evening at the normal times and
frequencies. 20 meters was not at all well. Tom came booming in here to
Oregon but then shushed me. He was chatting to Leigh. Tom called the net
three or four times and I called it three or four more times. He got
Leigh and I got Dick. WU7L was in there for a moment but then he left.
Very strange indeed when Tom cannot reach across the continent.
Propagation was poor at best.
On 14050 kHz at 2253z:

AA0NI - Daniel - OK - K2 - 3421 Best signal of the evening!
W0NTA - Dick - CO - K2 - 3900
Forty meters was better than twenty but not by much. If you were not
heard I am sorry but we tried the best we could. Someone needs to go out
and perform the propagation dance for us. That would do the trick ;) But
think of what conditions will be like in a few years as the new solar
cycle takes off. I can't wait. I started listening to my brother's
Lafayette rig about 1958 after the peak of the best sun spot cycle ever.
Would have been nice to have been on the air then! Maybe we can
experience those conditions again one day. QRP sure would be fun then!
Thank you for joining us and thank you for those who tried. Next week we
will try again and see what conditions are like then. Thank you Tom.
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Station 5th Class)
