Both 20 and 40 meters were plagued by QSB this evening. Once I got a
contact I had to make sure to work them quickly before they disappeared.
I probably missed a lot of folks and for that I am sorry. May just have
to move to the center of the continent and put up a really, really
sensitive antenna. But then it would probably not be as much fun :) I am
glad the wind storms have not taken down the antennas and the deluge of
rain has not shorted everything out. I did have the power go out twice
during the first net but it was still light enough to read and my rig is
powered by battery so I stayed on the air. The power only flickered
enough during the second net to kill the computer but not the lights.
Hopefully I will get this out before I lose the information. If there are
any errors please blame that instead of me ;)

Please forgive me if I did not hear you or could not drag you out. Next
week we might just have better conditions on 20 or 40 meters. I may also
get up another antenna so I can hear a bit better. It will be a low sky
loop which I am trying to get working on 80 and 160 but it should tune on
20 and 40 also. I have another vote for the low bands so I may just get
an ECN/3 working one of these days :)
Take care and 73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
We still have power so any typos stand as written!
