Good Evening,
The nets were cast and check ins gathered. There was a good showing for the Sunday two days before Christmas. Hopefully all who tried were able to get our attention. My rig did change keying speed once but I had just passed the net over to Tom when the display showed SPd 17.
All the snow I had last night is gone. Rain is falling steadily but temperatures will drop back below freezing soon. The pantry, refrigerator, and freezers are mostly full so I have no need to drive into towne except to get my mail. I have heard coyotes close but no deer lately. I think they have moved below the snow line to make their life a little easier. The bird population has dropped too: all I am seeing are jays and juncos these days.

Phew! Fell asleep at the keyboard :) Bach's Oratorio was very soothing. Four K3s checked in tonight; I know there are a few more out there than that but I guess they're either very shy or do not use CW ;) I just went outside to get some air to help me wake up. The temperature is falling but is not yet below freezing. I expect by morning the snow will begin falling again. The forecast is for snow over the next three days. Maybe there will be an accumulation.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas. I will see you again just before the new year.

Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
