Good Evening,
Neither net had what I would call great conditions but we managed to dig out a fair number of you. I know there were others below my ability to copy but there is always next week. I am amazed we got Florida again. OW does seem to help cut through the QRN and QSB though. Some letter combinations are simply better than others. Jay, KT5E, had the loudest signal of anyone. I could not believe, after straining to hear Tom's reply on 40 meters, Jay sent his call; my ear drums must have touched! There were a couple new folks to add to the list too. Tom and Jamie were working over my head in more than one sense. Missouri to Hawaii and at a pretty good rate of speed. Looks like Jamie spends quite a bit of time behind his paddles; much like Tom. On to the lists => On 14050.50 kHz at 2300z: W0CZ - Ken - ND - K2 - 1031 N0SS - Tom - MO - K2 - 008 N6JW - John - CA - K2 - 3290 W2IX - Frank - NY K4JPN - Steve - GA - K2 - 1422 VE6ITA - John - AB - K2 - 5384 NK6A - Don - CA - K2 - 1217 N7NLU - Karl - OR - K2 - 4227 KH6KW - Jamie - HI KB4ZVM - Dan - SC could not quite get the rig or SN AC0BQ - Johnny - KS - KX1 - 1357 (1657?) My notes and my database do not jibe. N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866 AB9V - Mike - IN - K2 - 3993 N0BK - Bruce - MN - K2 - 3646 On 7045.50 kHz at 0200z: N0SS - Tom - MO - K2 - 008 K6PJV - Dale - CA - K2 - 5345 KT5E - Jay - CO - K2 - 5037 QNI #40!! I must have jumped a foot when you came on the air! W0CZ - Ken - ND - K2 - 1031 QNI #150!!!! N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866 KR4OW - Dave - FL - K2 - 4320 QNI #10! NK6A - Don - CA - K2 - 1217 My dyslexic fingers sent N6KA but my mind knew you! N7NLU - Karl - OR - K2 - 4227 K1EV - Bill - CT - K2 - 2152 Please send me any corrections or additions so I can fix my database. If I could not drag you out it was not for want of trying. I listened to what I thought was CW more than once only to find it was some rhythmic QRN :) Quite a shock to go from that mode to the nerve jangling copy of KT5E. The last couple of weeks I looked out the window to see if he was parked in front of my house! Normally my sidetone is the loudest thing I hear. Tonight that was not the case. I hope you all have a good week this week and the weather does not get too bad in your area. I know Tom mentioned snow in his area and Scott mentioned a little there. I did not copy what Ken sent to Tom but did copy a BRRR in exchange. Must be chilly tonight in Fargo! I almost miss that weather ;) Jay mentioned drifting snow which got me thinking about XC skiing. I do miss that. Stay well, Kevin.
