Hopefully none of you are triskaidekaphobic since that is our QNI total
this evening. Twenty meters had some deep QSB but forty meters was just
plain poor propagation. It took me a few minutes to pull Ken out where he
is normally quite strong. Then another few minutes to hear Russ. After I
read the list and was about to close up shop Tom showed up but I do not
think he heard a word I sent. May have to see if the antenna is still
up!
But twenty meters made it worth while. It was fun to listen to Tom and
Gary chat back and forth at warp speed as Tom was working other stations
at a more sedate pace. A few folks who have not been around in a while
showed up for a few minutes. And the temperature readings I was getting
were pretty warm. Makes me a bit homesick for the humid, hot Midwest.
Mosquitoes large enough to drain you in one bite but you can hear the corn
grow at night and bugs glow in the dark. Miss it :( We got a fire going
here after dinner so the house would stay over 60 degrees for the night.
We may get sun tomorrow so Ms. P is not too happy. She wanted to do all
sorts of things outside this weekend but it was cold, grey, and rainy from
Thursday until now.

As always if there are any errors I will fix them both here and in my
database. If there were any who tried and we did not hear you I am
sorry. Forty meters can only get better since this evening it was not so
hot.
Thanks for participating and have a great week,
73,
