Good Evening,
Each time I use that as a greeting I realize how much I miss Hitchcock and his TV show. Oh well, time goes on. This evening on 20 meters there was a great noise. Pileups each time I called CQ for the first five or six go arounds. That was heartening. Next week there will be wall to wall operators so we all can have some fun getting the various sections across the continent. My goal is to work Delaware. Well, that and learn VHDL ;) I think I will have better luck with the FPGA code than I will with Delaware but there is hope. Folks just may be visiting the state and working a little DX (Oregon!!) for Field Day. Forty meters was quite packed so I set up shop between two Flying Pigs. They were dominating the bands with their mighty five watt signals. But I found a space and worked a number of folks from that location. There was QSB on both bands but it was fairly slow so if you paced yourself you could get all of a contact between the lulls. I heard each contact on 20 but some of the folks Tom worked were very weak (S2 -> S 0.5) On to the lists. Sorry but I was not copying letters, just knew there was a signal answering me. Please try again in two weeks. There will be no nets next week because the bands will be packed jam full of happy Field Day types. One of them will be me. Pat (KD5PZO) and I will be camping on the West side of our property so she may try working a few stations with me as control operator. I'll have a dipole or two up and I'll find the microphone for her to use on my K2 ;) My goal, as previously stated, is to work Delaware. Other than that I'll just work a few stations here and there giving out the Oregon section on CW. As always, any errors or fills in the above lists are welcomed. I will fix the database and post to this reflector when I get the information. 73 all, Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class) -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
