Good Evening Folks,
Now that the ringing in my ears has cease somewhat it is time to make a few apologies. First I am sorry I could not run the 20 meter net this evening but my time is fast fleeting away for the end of this term. Ms. P and I are banging away across our intranet making the various servers hum and printers zip out pages. She is crafting her portfolio which yours truly gets to edit in some free moments while I am crafting assembly language code and running it across another part of our network into some microcontrollers. I also am crafting a bit of prose but her's is much more exciting ;) Next, I am sorry I could not hear more than a few characters out of the many who were attempting to QNI this evening. I did hear many with Tom's help but I strive to be as good as possible at this. However, I have yet to approach a score of 20 while playing golf so there is room for improvement! The one and only list this evening. On 7045 kHz at 0200z: N0SS - Tom - MO - K2 - 008 W0CZ - Ken - ND - K2 - 1031 WA9PLT - Bob - IL - K2 - 4084 AK2B - Tom - NY - K2 - 4482 N7NLU - Karl - OR - K2 - 4227 K2HYD - Ray - VA - KX1 - 608 AB9V - Mike - IN - K2 - 3993 N7AF - Dave - AZ - K2 - 4795 K3XS - Maggie - PA - K2 - 2847 ?? checked in with a Yaesu device however. NS7P - Phil - OR - ? - ? N5ZC - Rich - TX - non Elecraft rig NZ0R - Craig - IA - ? - ? DL ?? N??7F ??? Please send any corrections or fills to me and I will fix them. It may be later than usual because my last final exam is on Wednesday. Until then most everything else (like sleeping) is on hold. I will get on the air with my CW mentor but that is simply to maintain some level of sanity! The log trucks are arousing us at 4:30 AM or so but that is fairly normal in our part of the country. Another square mile of Doug fir is on its way to the mills to make your homes. Never fear, we will grow more. Next week we can try having a true celebration. Both for the second anniversary and simply because celebrations are a good thing. Getting together on the air is fun for us all so please join in if you can. 73, Kevin. Morning Kevin,
Was on at 0230Z or thereabouts and heard Tom N0SS for sure, RST 229 through very strong Russian SSB QRM off the back. The Russians were not amused by my CW, don't blame them, but fortunately I know one of them reasonably well (he runs 2kW into a 4 element 40m monobander at 30m plus up), so I might live. Other QRM also, and conditions to the USA not good at all. Sorry to report that no other ECN check-ins heard this time. 73, Geoff GM4ESD ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Rock" <[hidden email]> To: "Elecraft" <[hidden email]> Sent: Monday, June 06, 2005 4:45 AM Subject: [Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report for June 6th, 2005 > Good Evening Folks, > Now that the ringing in my ears has cease somewhat it is time to make a > few apologies. My K2 is S/N 1641, but as you note, I was running a Yaesu FT-847 at 50w or so, both to make sure I penetrated the substantial QRN and also so I could use my KAMPlus to back up my RX follow the net. Here's a diagram of the station I used: http://voicenet.com/~maggie/k3xs_diagram.jpg 73 de Maggie K3XS Editor, Phil-Mont Mobile Radio Club Blurb - http://www.phil-mont.org Elecraft K2 #1641 -- -----/___. _)Margaret Stephanie Leber CCP, SCJP/"The art of progress / ----/(, /| /| http://voicenet.com/~maggie SCWCD/ is to preserve order/ ---/ / | / | _ _ _ ` _ AOPA 925383/ amid change and to / --/ ) / |/ |_(_(_(_/_(_/__(__(/_ K3XS / preserve change amid/ -/ (_/ ' .-/ .-/ ARRL 39280 /order."-A.N.Whitehead/ /________________(_/_(_/_______AMSAT 32844_/<[hidden email]>/ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
