Good Evening,
I am glad I could step outside and listen to the fir trees after that second net! A couple of you were so loud it was hard to copy because of the smoke coming out of my ears. I am using different headphones these days. Pat got them for me for Christmas a while back and they have been hanging on the wall. I thought I should use them just 'cuz. Well, they work pretty well; heavy but they are very responsive. These phones do not allow me to push them forward onto my cheekbones like I could the others. I'll need to put a fuse inline with them, anyone greater than S9 + 100 dB will blow the link. Looks like weather is pretty good across the nation. I am frightened for KL7CW though. He is in Bakersfield, California where it is much too warm. The jump from Palmer, Alaska to SoCal must be daunting. Good luck Rick! Dale said he was not coming to Oregon this year but I swear he was in my front yard running a linear! Sometimes signal strength is not everything. First time he sent his hail I could not copy because it was 'just too darn loud' (Huey Lewis line from Back to the Future). On to the lists before I draw any more ire => On 14051 kHz at 2300z: W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457 N0SS - Tom - MO - K3 - 008 AB9V - Mike - IN - K3 - 398 W6ZH - Pete - CA - K3 - 657 K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686 NO8V - John - MI - K3 - 820 K9ZTV - Kent - MO - K3 - 21 N6DIT - Dennis - CA N0BK - Bruce - MN - K2 - 3646 N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866 N3AO - Carter - VA On 7044.5 kHz at 0200z: W6ZH - Pete - CA - K3 - 657 W0JFR - John - CO - K2 - 4507 W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457 KL7CW - Rick - CA - KX1 - 798 N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866 AB9V - Mike - IN - K3 - 398 W7AQK - Dave - AZ - K3 - 96 QNI #5! K6PJV - Dale - CA - K2 - 5345 WA7BOC - Roger - WA - K3 - 75 W5TM - Ed - OK - K3 - 342 K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686 N0BK - Bruce - MN - K2 - 3646 AE6GC - Jack - CA - KX1 ??? - 1403 It appears there are quite a few active K3 folks. They seem to work OK, now for the test of time :) If there are any errors or omissions in the above lists please bring them to my attention. Since the net began June 7th, 2003 have been 560 vistors for a total of 4682 QNI. I still have not worked DE or SD on the net. Sure would be nice to get ECN one of those fancy WAS certificates. It would be kind of special because it would designate all states worked Elecraft rig to Elecraft rig. Please think about working mobile while on vacation this summer. Maybe we can pull this off! Until next week stay well, 73, Kevin.
