Good Evening,
Twenty meters was pretty good tonight but forty had its normal QRN. Quite noisy by the end so a good walk in the rain felt good to my ears. It had been sunny all day but now clouds have rolled in and there is a light rain. Forecast is for thunder storms but I do not hear them yet. Today I let the fire go out for the first time in over a month. It got warm outside (62 F) so I opened some windows just to smell the air. It has cooled down some so I closed the windows and relit the fire. My daffodils are in their final stages. Another week and they will be done blooming. Their period has been quite extended by the multiple snow storms and cool weather. I cut some wood on Friday thinking the flies would not have survived the long cool snap. I was wrong. They feasted on me! Luckily they do not like either the sound or the smell of the chainsaw. But as soon as I shut it off and start carrying wood they return en masse. Luckily they don't live very long. Maybe by next week they will be gone and I can get back into shape cutting multiple tanks of gas worth of wood each day. I have all the paperwork but I just need to find the time to enter it. I will get it done one day but not soon. I did get a new hard drive and the software to copy the old one. That will let me get my old computer back up and running again. Typing on this laptop for more than short periods of time is not as nice as working on real keyboard. Life goes on :) Until next week stay well, 73, Kevin.
