Elecraft CW Net Report for October 10th & 11th, 2010

kevinr@coho.net
Good Evening,
Twenty meters had me turning both gain controls down to save my
hearing.  Signals were booming in from across the country.  Forty meters
was also pretty good.  There was subtle QSB on each band but only on a few
contacts.  Most folks were strong and stable.  Only one fall weather
report from CT.  The rest of you all reported summer-like conditions.  79
from Dallas does seem cool though :)
There was no logging this morning so I slept hard.  I will need it
because tomorrow I expect the skidders to get started.  But, depending
upon which dip they are in, I may not hear them.  I think the felling is
done except for a few trees which need someone with a saw.  The good thing
about all of this is I will have another week or two of sun for the next
few years.  Since I live south of a the mountain top I lose the sun for
about a month and a half each year.  This year I may only lose it for one
month.

    On to the lists =>

   On 14050.5 kHz at 2200z:
NO8V - John - MI - K3 - 820
N0TA - John - CO - K3 - 994
AB9V - Mike - IN - K3 - 398
K4JPN - Steve - GA - K2 - 1422
W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457
W0RSR - Mike - CO - K2 - 5767
K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686
WB5BKL - Nick - TX - K3 - 231
N7KRT - Jeff - TX - K2 - 5471

   On 7045 kHz at 0000z:
NO8V - John - MI - K3 - 820
N0TA - John - CO - K3 - 994
W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457
AB9V - Mike - IN - K3 - 398
K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113
W8OV - Dave - TX - K3 - 3139

The forty meter net was cut short by a stuck key.  It quit for a minute
so I called until it recommenced sending.  Hopefully there were no other
callers attempting to check in.  Now to enjoy the rest of my evening
reading.  Tomorrow there will be some sun which will continue until next
weekend.  Time to finish up my wood collecting before the mud gets too
deep.
    Until next week stay well,
       73,
Kevin.  KD5ONS  (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
