Good Evening, Conditions were pretty good on both bands today. Forty meters was loud with QRM, QRN, and QSB but it was still good enough to dig out a good number of folks. Twenty meters was strong enough to gain three East Coast stations. Soon Florida will be available. Weather, except for a few southern stations, was cool to chilly. Even the California folks were commenting on the blast from the Gulf of Alaska. That front did push the clouds south of me so even if it is cool it is very sunny. Not until Friday will there be a return of rain. It will be a good week to stay busy outside. On to the lists => On 14049.75 kHz at 2200z: K9DMV - Joe - IL - K2 - 5628 N0TA - John - CO - K3 - 994 NO8V - John - MI - K3 - 820 AB9V - Mike - IN - K2 - 3993 W0RSR - Mike - CO - K2 - 5767 W8OV - Dave - TX - K3 - 3139 K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686 W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457 N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866 K4JPN - Steve - GA - K2 - 1422 K9DMV - Joe - IL - K2 - 5628 K2XT - Rick - NJ - K3 - 3814 N7KRT - Jeff - TX - K2 - 5471 K6DGW - Fred - CA - K3 - 642 On 7045 kHz at 0000z: N0TA - John - CO - K3 - 994 K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113 K1THP - Dave - CT - K3 - 686 W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457 W8OV - Dave - TX - K3 - 3139 W5TM - Ed - OK - K3 - 342 N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866 W0SZ - Steve - (CA) - K2 - 88 K6PJV - Dale - CA - K3 - 1183 NO8V - Dave - TX - K3 - 820 WI6O - John - CA - K1 - 922 Conditions are improving as the season changes and the days grow shorter. Soon I believe forty meters will be working even better as the thunderstorms die out. Less QRN will make it easier to dig out weak stations. Today I could barely hear WI6O when I got relay help from K6PJV. Thanks Dale! After John I thought there was another even weaker station but finally quit digging. I may have been trying to copy a call out of random bits of static. I took a walk and listened to the wind in the fir trees. Then it was time for dinner, dishes, and this report. Until next week stay well, 73, Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class) - -- Using Opera's revolutionary email client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ No virus found in this outgoing message.
