Elecraft CW Net Report for October 22nd & 23rd, 2006

Kevin Rock
Good Evening,
Two very good nets this evening.  Twenty meters just kept providing
more and more check ins.  There was a moment or two when I wondered if I
would be able to make dinner!  Copy was quite good considering there was
QSB on almost every station I heard.  The noise level was very low which
helped me drag in the weaker stations.
There may be an error or two in here since I am pretty tired.  The week
was productive but exhausting.  Soon the drywall will be done and I can
get back to carrying boxes of books.  Either from one room to another or
out to one of our containers.  Then the fun begins: setting up the work
area and new radio operations center.  It sure will be nice to have an
excess of bench space.  I have no doubt the space will attract as much as
it can handle until there is no longer an excess.  But until then I can
enjoy the sight of a clean desk :)  I have not written any software or
soldered any components in over two weeks.  My fingers are getting jittery!

Please email me any corrections necessary.  Once I have settled into my
new work area I will work on the ECN web site.  I have not updated it in
quite some time.  It is here if you would like to see it:
http://ecn.visionseer.com  Last updated in December of 2004.  Looks like
it will be December 2006 before I fill out the blank spots and add some
history notes.  Somewhere or another I have WS_FTP so I can manipulate the
site.  Pat used to take care of web site management because she had far
more experience than I'll ever have at creating them.
I need to get to bed so I can sand drywall all day tomorrow.  The fun
seems to never cease ;)  Enjoy the propagation this week.  The sun is
providing us with a steady stream of ions allowing some contacts into the
Northeast which were quite good this evening.  If sunspot 917 keeps
growing we may get an even bigger dose of radiation.  Luckily it is past
the midpoint on its journey across the sun.  If it blows the blast will be
directed past us.  However, get on the air and see how your rig works.
Predictions aren't always correct and you may find a duct to someone
interesting.
    Stay well,
       73,
Kevin.  KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
