Elecraft CW Net Report

Kevin Rock
Good Evening,
Conditions were interesting.  Reports of very rapid QSB with quite a
bit of QRN from some thunderstorms in the distance.  There was a
persistent tuner who could not get his SWR quite right ;)  However, there
were a number of folks out and about this evening.  Two new folks dropped
by and a bunch of old hands.  W0NTA is reaping what he sewed at his
mountain estate.  Aluminum seems to have sprouted in Colorado.  W0CZ was
living the hard life camping at the lake on a sunny, mild day in the wilds
of ND.

On to the list:
N0SS - Tom - MO - K2 - 008
K2HYD - Ray - VA - KX1 - 608
W0CZ - Ken - ND - K2 - 1031    QNI #85 from Lake Ashtabula
N9IV - Russ - IN - KX1 - 742  I am guessing which rig.  Your signal was
very weak to me.
VE1RGB - Gary - NS - K2 - 2519
ND0V - Greg - CO - KX1 - 1162
KI8JM - Bob - OH - K2 - 3630   QNI #15
N5EBD - Ken - TX - K1 - 2424   Welcome to ECN!
W0NTA - Dick - CO - Non Elecraft rig tonight.
W6SJ - Randy - CA - K2 - ??    Welcome to ECN!  Sorry I did not get your
serial number
AB9V - Mike - IN - K2 - 3993

As always any errors will be posted and fixed in the database.  Thank you
all for braving the conditions.  Batten down your hatches and head for
high ground if you are on the Gulf Coast.  The rest of you east of the
Rockies get ready for some heavy weather next week.  I expect QRN to be
very high tomorrow morning when I attempt a sked.

Our wood pile is gradually growing but, as you most probably heard, it is
taking its toll on my arms.  Last night they were shaking so much it was
tough to type.  Today, after a bit more exercise, they are strained but
started to recover.  Hopefully by the time the shed is filled with six
cords of wood I'll be in much better condition :)  Who needs a health club
membership when you have a woodstove for heating?  It is very nice when
there are four feet of snow blocking the roads and we must stay home!

See you all next week for another round of the Elecraft CW Net.  Until
then stay well and work a little CW.
    73,
Kevin.  KD5ONS  (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
