Good Evening,
It is always surprising where my signal can reach. But QSB was
alternately boosting and diminishing signals. Some overall hiss but
mostly quiet with a few whistlers passing through the frequency.

For those of you aching to learn about logging and all its gadgets go here:
http://www.vannattabros.comIt has all sorts of topics and photos and is about this area. A lot of
broken terrain logging techniques were developed in my neighborhood.
The narrow gauge tracks are still visible in some locations. There was
a cedar mill only a mile from my house with a dance hall (etc.) next to
it. The nearby town - Bacona no longer exists but leaves its name on
roads. Where there had been many homesteaded houses there are only a
few left standing. Farming does not work up here unless you are cropping
stands of Doug Fir.

Kevin. KD5ONS
