Good Evening,
Propagation was better this week. Both bands were clear and loud.
Some whistlers on 40 m but the thunderstorm QRN was gone. Those
thunderstorms have been replaced by blizzards. Roy is prepping his
snowblower while Ken is outside in a creche tonight. Enjoying winter can
take many forms. I do miss digging out my neighbor's car by mistake.
I believe forty meters has found its winter's home - 0000z worked.
I had to move off of the chosen frequency due to a rag chew in
progress. Limiting clicks from both above and below chose the odd
frequency. I tried getting people to log in early in fear of the band
going south at any moment. However, they held firm and did not respond
until the top of the hour. Then for the next 24 minutes I took check
ins and comments.
Rick had power and comms after the Anchorage quake. Roy was still
prepping for the next blizzard. Jim was decorating his house. Dale was
relaxing preparing for the next holiday. And Brian was planning another
trip. I am not sure if this one is off planet again or not. He did not
say.
