Just got back from my scuba vacation on Providenciales island, Turks and Caicos. Will post a report in a day or two about my KX-1 / random wire operating experiences, but did want to say what a thrill it was to be able to have an actual two-way exchange on 20m with our esteemed NCS! Only other station I could copy was Mr Tom (N0SS). Despite having to get up early for the next day's diving, I did stay up to try 40m, but I fear that all I heard was N0SS calling KD5ONS - heard no reply nor any other sigs (Tom, looks like your antenna squirts signals SE, even if not NW!)
