I've come across a problem trying to install the new K3 utility onto my
computer that's running an up to date version of Windows XP Pro. I downloaded it to a file and then ran it. My firewall, the free version of ZoneAlarm, blocked K3UtilitySetup_1_3_10_11.tmp(4656) reporting that it contained Trojan WIN32.GenericIBT Any helpful comment or guidance would be much appreciated, thanks. 73 Dave G3TJP ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
I just submitted the setup executable to the free multi-engine virus scan
web sites (http://virusscan.jotti.org) and none of the 19 anti-virus tools on that web site found any evidence of malware. (Zone Alarm was not one of the 19). NoVirusThanks.org (another site that hosts multiple virus scanners) used 17 scanners and found no evidence of malware. Zone Alarm was not one of the 17 virus scanning tools. It reported the file "clean".
