Elecraft KX3

I have KX3 SN : 8857, the VFO tuning knob came loose and seems to want to pull out and spin very rapidly. It seems to tune ok, but the looseness doesnt seem right. It wasnt like this before. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Did you pull the rubber cover off the knob?  There’s a hex screw under there.  It may have loosened enough for the knob to slip up on the shaft far enough to be free wheeling.  You can adjust the tension by pressing the knob closer to the case..
