I did not expect this kind of turnout but it is heartening. The bands
seemed to be favorable this evening. Working between the contesters was problematic at times but Tom, N0SS, and I did it. I failed to ask for a serial number however so N7AF is logged without his due. I know we got the particulars but they are not in my notes. Sorry Dave, we will get this worked out I'm sure. Thanks for putting Arizona back on the map! We had great geographical spread. QSB, QRN, and QRM were constant but both 20 and 40 meters netted good totals. Two Alaskan stations checked in from Palmer and Anchorage. They seem to have a pipeline into Oregon as does Ray with his KX1 from Virginia. Those KX1s do yoeman duty. But then the K1s held up their end too from Ontario and New York. The rest of us make do with our K2s ;) On to the lists. Next week brave Karl (N7NLU) will take me under his wing and teach me the ropes of QRP contesting. Hopefully I will not fail too badly. We shall be working from a local rail line (extinct that is) for a QRP to the field contest. He is going to show me how a K1 works and I'll bring along another rig to use. Should be fun because we do have a shelter from the outrages Oregon weather may throw at us. Please listen for us on Saturday and give us a holler if you want. Then I shall be QRV on the normal frequencies at the usual times for the Elecraft CW Net the next day. Hope to hear you all then. 73, Kevin. Hi Kevin,
My K2 is S/N 4795 and I'm located in Tempe, AZ. Could just barely hear you at times on 20 and same on 40 at beginning of the net. I was able to copy you pretty well by the end of the net. 73, Dave N7AF _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
