I am a bit under the weather this evening so I am just going to send the
list as Tom sent it to me with a few corrections and additions. Here's the Elecraft CW Net list from 14049 kHz this evening: ------- Forwarded message ------- From: Tom Hammond <[hidden email]> To: Kevin Rock KD50NS <[hidden email]> Subject: ecn 06-06-04 Date: Sun, 06 Jun 2004 18:58:06 -0500 > Hi Kevin: > > > ECN 20M QNS: > > KD5ONS KEVIN OR K2 2511 > NØSS TOM MO K2 0008 > VE3XL RIC ON K1 0968 > K1EV BILL CT K2 2152 > KC4YDP JERRY FL K2 2357 > W6JD DOUG CA K2 1626 > N2YC JOHN NY KX1 0336 > K3IU KEN RI K2 3756 > N3AO CARTER PA K2 0678 > WA7BOC ROGER WA K2 0755 > W7WEL BILL ID K2 4001 > NØKM DAVE CO K2 3975 > WA7SPY GLENN CA K2 0323 > AB9V MIKE IN K2 3993 > WG4S DAN GA K2 2456 > WB3FXC BOB PA KX1 0664 > MWØIDX/P ROGER WALES K2 2724 15W LOOP > > Happy Anniversary pal. > > Time for Kevin to be promoted to at least NCS 4th Class... heheh! > > 73, > > Tom > <<<<<< And a note from the Elecraft CW Net's first ever check in: Well, Kevin, I gave it my best shot -- wanted to check in on my first anniversary of ECN and the net. But, not a peep. Nil. Nuthin' Just W2SR and W0QQS, and they couldn't hear you either. The propagation gods are not kind. GL with continued operation of the net. As a rule, I am unable to make the 40M net, but I'll continue to try for future 20M. 73, Gary VE1RGB Thank you Tom and all the other QSPers out there. I heard the net run across the US and Canada and back again. I didn't hear all of you very well but I got most as you were checking in with whomever was acting as NCS at the moment. It appears we are on our way to a bang up check in list for this evening. If 40 meters gleans as many we will have set a new record for a single day. In a day or so I will post a few numbers covering the first year's operation. It has been a great learning experience as well as being fun. I'll keep doing this as long as I can. Very 73 and Happy Anniversary, Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 4/5th Class) Breveted? In rememberance of my Uncle Irvin who dropped far behind Omaha Beach to block the Panzer advance. Later wound up on the wrong side of the Battle of the Bulge. I am proud of what you did and miss you very much.
