Erasing K3 Macros

Roy Morris-6
I have assigned a macro to PF1, and it works great.  I now want to remove this macro from PF1.  Will the macro be removed from my K3 if I go in the K3 Utility under the "Command Tester/K3 Macros" tab and push the CLEAR button?  It says this is the "Erase Output Window".  Do I need to go into the K3 CONFIG: MACRO 1 and do something?
I would like the macro to be removed from the K3 but retained in the macros list in the K3 Utility.  I don't want to experiment on my own and really screw things up.  Thanks in advance for the help.  Roy Morris  W4WFB

Roy I would try the following.  First COPY Macro1 in the K3 Utility Window (e.g. CTRL-C...you can later re-enter it using CTRL-V).  Now CLEAR and SEND to the K3, which should clear PF1 in the K3.  Now go back into the MACRO1 box in the utility, press CTRL-V which will enter the former macro and press SAVE (but not SEND).  I'm don't understand why you want to do this but I believe the above will accomplish what you want.

Why don't you just move the macro down to one of the additional macros on
the bottom half of the utility window.  These are the ones which can be
executed from the utility but not from the K3 itself, if that makes sense.
