FILTER SETTINGS

Bill W4ZV
Here's a tip for setting up the 500 Hz filter if you use one.  The actual 6
dB bandwidth is 565 Hz, so in the FLx BW menu I set  0.60.  This means the
500 Hz filter is activated at WIDTH = 600 instead of 500.  The advantage of
this is when you use DUAL PB.  That function sets the narrow passband to 150
Hz and the wider passband to 600 Hz.  Since the 500 Hz filter is now
activated at 600, this means the 500 Hz is in use for DUAL PB, which can
greatly help desense problems versus the stock 2.7k, which would otherwise
be selected in DUAL PB mode.

The wider passband is 600 Hz at its narrowest setting,  YOU can make it
much wider just by rotating the WIDTH control once you are in DUAL PB mode.
