Clearing out some books here, and someone might be interested in this
one: "The Telegraph Instructor" by G.M.Dodge. Copyright 1908, really
steps us back in time to just before radio got its start.

The author talks of his experiences andhow to be a railroad telegrapher.
A must-read for antique-railroad buffs and hams.
