Hi Mike,
I don't have one yet, but will need to build one for the November 9th SEMDXA Club meeting: "FT8: DX Mode for Dead Bands." Would be happy to collaborate with anyone, or share this presentation after it's done. Planning to include a Camtasia video recording of the K3S connected to WSJT-X and JTALert, plus DXLabs and N1MM+ as back-end databases. At this point I am very much in a learning mode. I need to get a whole lot smarter before November! First FT8 QSO was on July 23rd. Working for DXCC-FT8. Hoping to claim having worked 100 countries in 100 days - we'll see how that goes as November approaches. -larry (K8UT) -----Original Message----- From: W0MU Mike Fatchett Sent: Friday, September 22, 2017 10:45 AM To: [hidden email] ; [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] FT8 powerpoint presentation Does anyone know of a good powerpoint presentation on FT8? Several weeks ago there was a series of reflector posts by hams looking
for materials on FT8 to use in PPT presentations. I had offered to post my slides after delivering to the SEMDXA club meeting on 11/10. The 27 MB ZIP file contains the .pptx file, two videos (stand-along and log-integrated operation) and a README file. www.semdxa.org >File Gallery >Presentations, "Intro to FT8 presentation by K8UT" or http://www.semdxa.org/download/presentations/IntroToFT8_presentation_byK8UT.zip Anyone is welcome to cut/copy/plagiarize as they require. Corrections and comments would be appreciated - direct to my email address. -larry (K8UT) ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
Larry and all,
Good information. For those using Elecraft transceivers, also refer to the article on my website www.w3fpr.com about setting the audio level. The Elecraft transceivers are unique in this regard. On my website, scroll to the bottom of the left column and click the link to the article. 73, Don W3FPR On 11/13/2017 7:06 AM, Larry (K8UT) wrote: > Several weeks ago there was a series of reflector posts by hams looking > for materials on FT8 to use in PPT presentations. Permission to use that information is granted. You may include it in
your presentations or provide the .pdf file as a link. Edit if you desire, as long as you retain the "4 to 5 bars of ALC" information and that Elecraft transceivers are unique in that regard. 73, Don W3FPR -------------------------------------------------------------- Larry and all, Good information.
