Sorry Bob, I hit the wrong key again!

If this is such an important issue, go to your local hardware store and buy yourself a kitchen timer. Much simpler than asking a company to do your work for you. 73, Tom - W4BQF -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Bob Naumann Sent: Friday, January 28, 2011 9:45 AM To: 'Elecraft Reflector ' Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K3 Feature Request Seeing a request like this points out how diverse a group the K3 users are. What I'd really like to see is a second antenna port that I don't have
to pay $300 for since it's bundled with an antenna tuner I don't want/need.... 73, Ross N4RP -- FCC Section 97.313(a) “At all times, an amateur station must use the minimum transmitter power necessary to carry out the desired communications.” ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
I certainly second that suggestion Ross! Since my K3 drives an amplifier and
I use an AT-AUTO tuner after the amp, I can't see purchasing the Elecraft tuner, at a cost of $300 just to get one extra antenna port. 73, Tom - W4BQF -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Ross Primrose N4RP Sent: Friday, January 28, 2011 10:38 AM Cc: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [Elecraft] FW: K3 Feature Request What I'd really like to see is a second antenna port that I don't have to pay $300 for since it's bundled with an antenna tuner I don't want/need.... 73, Ross N4RP -- FCC Section 97.313(a) "At all times, an amateur station must use the minimum transmitter power necessary to carry out the desired communications." ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Having a K3 without an antenna tuner is like buying a car without air
conditioning. While you may not need it today, you might someday. And, if you ever want to sell it, it will be worth more with it than without it. 73, Bob W5OV P.S. I don't always use my internal tuner, but I have used the tuner a couple of times and it works great. > What I'd really like to see is a second antenna port that I don't have > to pay $300 for since it's bundled with an antenna tuner I don't > want/need.... > > 73, Ross N4RP > > -- > FCC Section 97.313(a) At all times, an amateur station must use the > minimum transmitter power necessary to carry out the desired > communications. > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
