Sorry! A 'senior moment' sent this to the incorrect reflector!

There were one or two of the VERY loud signals, but some were most likely running QRO. I can't complain because I ran 1.5 KW in my first two NAQP test and even sent my log in marked 'HIGH' power. All because I was too lazy to read all of the rules. After sending in my last QRO log, I finally realized my error and disqualified myself. Anyway, the loudest signal, on 20m, also had horrible key clicks. As for slowing down for folks sending slow, you bet! I used to do QRQ (over 70 wpm), but that doesn't matter in a contest, I always try to drop my speed down, not to, but close to the speed of the ham calling me. I applaud these new guys who have the courage to call someone running at, say, 30 wpm, and calling them at maybe 15 wpm - that takes courage and it is neat that most of us recognize them and try to help.it only takes a few seconds to do it. I slowed down to about 20 and sent my exchange. He came back and asked me to QRS but sent me a report and his QTH (Woodstock, GA) and then said he was 10 years old! I slowed down to about 15 wpm and took a few minutes off from the contest to have a short QSO with Jacob. He had an excellent fist - sounded like it could have been a straight key but near perfect what ever it was. Made my day. Looked him up on QRZ.COM and see he is a technician class and his dad is W4CCH. I sent him a QSL and note of encouragement today. Maybe there is hope for the future of CW!
