I'm looking to buy a used KPA500 from a friend. What would be a fair price?

As a general rule I use 80 - 85% of retail for a current production rig
in excellent condition. Elecraft gear would be on the high side. k4ia, Buck K3s# 11497 Honor Roll 8B DXCC EasyWayHamBooks.com On 11/20/2020 9:42 AM, Jim Miller wrote: > I'm looking to buy a used KPA500 from a friend. I agree with Buck at about the 80% point.
If you are selling, I would start there and move down if you need to. Hi Jim,
If I am selling a good radio or accessory still in production I shoot for getting 75% of the current price. Usually throw in add ons put in later. Did that with my fully loaded second K3 7 years ago. And a KX2 I just sold to upgrade to a KX3. Buyers were happy and I was happy. If the good working radio is out of production I try to get 50% of what I paid. And try to get past eBay sales for the radio to back up that 50% ( or 75%) is a good value at a local fest. For vintage tube gear all bets are off and I try to get 50% of the last few eBay sales. 73, tom w7sua Arizona On 11/20/2020 7:42 AM, Jim Miller wrote: > I'm looking to buy a used KPA500 from a friend. I sold a like new kpa-500/kat-500 combo a while back for $2200.
New owner and I were both happy. 73 Dean K2WW On Fri, Nov 20, 2020, 09:43 Jim Miller <[hidden email]> wrote: > I'm looking to buy a used KPA500 from a friend.
