Hi to the group
It is raining in North Dakota so I am spending a day in the shack and installed FLDIGI on my Windows lap top. I want to use it for Field Day and some contests. Under CONFIG/RIG CONTROL/RIG/HAMLIB I was able to choose K3/KX3 and the program seems to do everything I would want to participate in a contest as long as I use RTTY or PSK31. I next looked at doing CW and have a big problem. I can program <RIGCAT:["ky TEST ;"]\ret> on an F KEY but using Hamlib this will not get passed on to the KX3. If I set up RIGCAT I can send the text to the KX3 with the F KEY but than the Fldigi FREQUENCY feature does not work. I am looking for a way to set up FLDIGI to have both the FREQUENCY feature and be able to use an F KEY to send "ky TEST;" to the KX3 using the CW mode. Thanks for any help 73 Ken W0CZ w0cz at i29 dot net Sent from my iPad ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

I'll admit that I've not looked into supporting Morse sending via the CAT interface. I will have to take a look at that. In the mean time, please take up the frequency issue with RigCAT to the Fldigi (linuxham) Yahoo group as it may be a bug that needs fixed. 73, Nate N0NB >> -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds. Hi to the group
I want to thank the group for coming through so I can use FLDIGI for FIELD DAY. I built the recommended converter to use the special 1600 hz signal from FLDIGI to key my KX3. It sounds good to me and seems to be reliable. Once again thank you and I feel this will be a great improvement to my contesting experience. 73 and hope to work you on FD.
