Firmware Changes - AGC Recommendation

RLVZ
I request that improvement be made to the AGC.  Recent discussions on the
reflector have confirmed that many of us are experiencing "Noisy K-3
Receivers".
I have tried everything that was recommended, such as: changing AGC
settings and changing RX EQ settings.  Fact is, in A/B tests, my K-3 receiver is
still noisy compared to some of my other radios.  Granted, I live in Florida
with tons of QRN.  But at this same QTH other receivers handle this QRN
better.  Therefore, I am confident that the K-3 AGC firmware can be improved "and
made as easy to use as possible".  Having to constantly ride the RF Gain
control does not make the radio easy to use when "running" during a contest.
(and I've noticed that some K-3 users who don't contantly adjust the RF Gain
control when "running" often miss hearing weak signal stations)

Thank You for your on-going faithful service at improving the K-3!
Elecraft is the very best when it comes to "aggressive behavior towards
improvements" and your work is greatly appreciated!

Best 73,
Dick- K9OM

Dick, I urge you to go back and read the posts by W4ZV about adjusting RF Gain.  I strongly disagree with the assertion that one needs to constantly adjust RF Gain to avoid missing stations when "running" - that is certainly not my experience.  RF Gain needs to only be adjusted if background noise level changes.
