Firmware Update TM Command

Is this feature new or unique to the K3 but has been resident for the
K3S? If not, I haven't found the TM command in either the Menu or
Config of my K3S.

K3 MCU 5.62 / DSP 2.88 / FPF 1.26, 11-16-2017

* NEW CONTROL COMMAND (TM): The TM command sets or reads the transmit
metering mode on the LCD. TM0; sets the bar graph for SWR/RF, while TM1;
sets the bar graph for CMP/ALC. The TX metering mode also determines
what is read by the BG (bar graph read) command during transmit. With
TM0 in effect, BG reads the power level. If TM1 is in effect, BG reads
the ALC level.

This is a macro command so does not appear in the config or menu. Take
a look at page 27 of the Programmer Ref. You can use the command tester
in the Utility to try it out.

Just for reference here is the Programmer Manual reference

TM (Transmit Meter Mode; GET/SET; K3/K3S only)
RSP format: TM0; (SWR/RF metering) or TM1; (CMP/ALC metering). This
sets the transmit meter mode for
the LCD bargraphs, as well as for the BG command (equivalent to using
the METER switch). When TM0 is in
effect, BG returns the RF level. When TM1 is in effect, BG returns the
ALC level.

I tried it via the Utility Command test. It is for computer functions and not in the Radio Menu or Config Menu.

The command is useful for displaying the ALC level when you are using the radio remotely with appropriate software that supports it. Win4K3Suite will have this enabled in the next release. 73 Tom
