I wanted to install the latest firmware beta release (4.47). The process started, on the K3 display MCU LD appeared, but after a while the message appeared, that the update failed. The K3 stayed in the MCU LD mode and the K3 utility showed that there is a communication problem with the COM port. Trying to reactivate the COM communication failed with all possible COM ports my ELTIMA virtual port cable creates. Turning the K3 on and off didn't change anything, the MCU LD mode stays on. Also reinitializing the ports by turning the computer off and on again didn't change a thing, I could not get the COM port communication started again. Does anybody have an idea how to get back to normal without starting the EE INIT procedure (loosing all parameters)? Thanks in advance for your help!! Yes, the firmware load was interrupted.
Go through the procedure described in K3 Utility Help, Troubleshooting, MCU Boot Loader. 73 de Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Axel Kaiser Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2012 11:59 AM To: Elecraft Reflector Subject: [Elecraft] Firmware update process stalled K3 I wanted to install the latest firmware beta release (4.47).
