Firmware upgrade to correct K3 power output levels?

AC6JA

Any word on when the new firmware upgrade is coming out to correct the per
band power output when using the K3 with the KPA500?
I'm still having the same problem of wanting the K3 to run 100w when
barefoot without the KPA500, only to find the power level keeps resetting to the
OPER set power levels of 25-30w.
After switching bands, I seem to always have  to reset the K3's power level
back up to 100w level.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It shouldn't do that. At least mine does not.

Mike, this s a known issue and I guess you have set BND CHG on the
KPA500 to STBY (which I think is safer) .
When BND CHG is set to NOR, the K3 returns to 100 W after a band change.
But this only occurs when changing bands from the KPA500 whilst K3
initiated band changes are OK.
I keep reminding Elecraft of this from time to time and they promised
Wayne will solve it as soon as he is done with KX3 firmware etc...
In the mean time, I just change bands on the K3 to avoid having to crank
up power every time!
This is probably why John's K3 "doesn't do that" - he must have it set
to NOR, which is the factory default setting.
