Today S/N 727 performed first CW EME QSO on 23cm band (during Dubus
EME Contest). Used in transverter mode with 1,5mW output to DB6NT 2m and 23cm transverter chain. Still learning, what was found that if I try to change something in XVx menus then when going out of menu there is mode change and frq change (more then offset, it jumped 250kc down if I remember). This can cause some problems if changes are made during standard operation (for example XVx OFS setting). No time to study this more. Maybe somebody else has some more experience and I am doing some stupid things here....:-) Compared to IC-910 used before there is advantage of variable bandwith and shift, also XIT setting is comfortable (for Doppler compensation). No discussion about TX noise and the others... What is good on IC-910 it is ATT level settings (for 2m/70cm input) but it is not issue as I have some external 1 - 10dB attenutor to apply to RX channel from transvertor to my K3. If you have any interesting experience with transverter mode let me know, thanks 73!
