First QSO with my KX3

tomb18
I'm away a couple of days and brought my new KX3. Put up20 feet of wire in a tree 8 feet high and had a QSO with Ireland, second call.
Nice piece of hardware!

No! I was in Magog Quebec. Looked for antenna wire at the last minute before leaving and all I had was 10 feet of zip cord, and the only  tree near by was about 15 feet high. Never expected a QSO

Let me guess, Tom. You were not actually IN Ireland?

There is something special about making a first QSO with a new rig.
