Flex 5000

a friend of mine has one and Dick plays with the software loads. I
noticed that his signal
is distorting on certain voice frequencies and splattering badly, I have
noticed this pattern on other signals
dont know if they were flexing or not. Dick always has his SSB signal at
least 3+Khz wide
if I mention it he will narrow down,, not sure why flex has that as an
option

Bob,
Any radio can be over driven or mis-adjusted and made to sound bad, not just
the
Flex 5K. It's usually the operator and poor setup.
