Before I get all worked up about this……. was there ever an "Official" announcement by Flex Radio Systems about the discontinuance of the Flex 5000A ? I just took another look at their web page and it STILL carries a picture of the '5000A and a blurb about "Order Now". Thanks, Tom 73 W4TMW ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Tom,
I'm not sure why you'd ask this on the Elecraft list, however, since there are no Flex 6000s to sell yet, I doubt they'd be discontinuing the 5000 just yet. 73, Scott, N9AA On 5/21/13 8:31 PM, tomwarren wrote: > > Before I get all worked up about this……. was there ever an "Official" announcement > by Flex Radio Systems about the discontinuance of the Flex 5000A ? > > I just took another look at their web page and it STILL carries a picture of the '5000A and > a blurb about "Order Now". > > Thanks, > Tom > 73 > W4TMW > > Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

If you are the type that likes a computer-coupled-radio, then Google the ANAN10 and ANAN100 and check it out at a fraction of the price of the 6000 series. See the eHam Reviews. It is similar, and uses open source software.

Well, if history is a prologue, it will take Flex 2 or 3 years to bring
the 6000's up to their currently advertized functionality.. 73 Jack KZ5A K3 #4165 On 5/22/2013 9:00 AM, Richard Fjeld wrote: > If you are the type that likes a computer-coupled-radio, then Google the ANAN10 and ANAN100 and check it out at a fraction of the price of the 6000 series. Is that all? My Flex-1500 still doesn't work right. It's pretty good at
holding paper down on my desk though. 73, Bob, WB4SON On Thu, May 23, 2013 at 9:34 AM, Jack Brabham <[hidden email]> wrote: > Well, if history is a prologue, it will take Flex 2 or 3 years to bring > the 6000's up to their currently advertized functionality.. > >> >> ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
