Flying Pig Field Day

Brian Murrey-2
The Flying Pig QRP Club International is happy to announce the return of
W8PIG.

W8PIG will be alive and well during Field Day weekend, invading Caesar Creek
State Park in Southwest Ohio.  Once again we will be running 3AB or 4AB
depending on who brings what. K2's and assorted other radio goodies will be
present.

Currently there are 21 Flying Pigs lined up and ready for take off, during
this Field Day Extravaganza.  We plan to operate the entire period.  We will
be on 6m VHF and for the first time we will attempt a satellite QSO.  GOTA
station is at the ready and we invite any ham or ham candidate to come to the
park and operate with us.  Plenty of rigs, bring your own chair.

Team W8PIG will be at the Horseman GROUP Campground on the west side of Caesar
Creek Lake.

Saturday food:  Biscuits and Gravy for breakfast, Bratwurst/Hot Dogs and Beans
with Kraut for lunch, and WB6JBM is fixing us all a juicy steak for Saturday
night.  We'll be operating off natural power...sort of.

Big thanks to Nigel G8IFF/KC8NHF for flying in from the UK to be with us at
this historic event.

73 de KB9BVN on behalf of W8PIG

Re: [fpqrp] Flying Pig Field Day

Robert Cerreto
We may be later getting there tomorrow. Original plan was early
afternoon......nature changed that. Last night we had one storm after
another. I am struggleing to keep water out of my piggie lab and
basement. I have 3 count them 3 sumps. One failed and been nursing the
others today and now, more drenching rains. We have seriousd water
problems. can't leave until the place is secured. On the brighter side,
I may be able to conoe for miles after tonight. Happy FD.
